Bengaluru FC’s all-time ISL XI
An iconic XI featuring the best to represent the Blues in the ISL.

Since entering the Indian Super League (ISL) in the 2017–18 season, Bengaluru FC have been one of the most consistent and competitive sides in the league. From the very beginning, they demonstrated their dominance by finishing at the top of the table in their first two seasons.
They narrowly missed out on the ISL Cup in their debut season, losing the final to Chennaiyin FC, but came back stronger the next year, topping the league again and going on to lift their first ISL Cup after a dramatic extra-time win over FC Goa.
In total, the Blues have reached the playoffs five times in eight seasons, with one ISL Cup and three runners-up finishes to their name. Known for their ambition, determination, and passionate fanbase, Bengaluru FC have built a strong identity in the ISL.
With so many standout performers over the years, picking just eleven was no easy task, but here’s our take on Bengaluru FC’s all-time ISL XI.
Goalkeeper – Gurpreet Singh Sandhu

One of the easiest picks in this XI.
Gurpreet has been Bengaluru FC’s trusted wall at the back ever since their ISL debut. A one-club man in the league, the Indian international has been a commanding presence for eight straight seasons, leading from the back with sharp reflexes, confident aerial control, and composed distribution.
His impact was immediate, keeping a joint-highest seven clean sheets in his debut ISL season, and he followed it up with another seven in 2018–19 (alongside Amrinder Singh), winning his first Golden Glove as Bengaluru FC lifted the ISL Cup.
In 2019–20, he raised the bar further, registering 11 clean sheets and winning the Golden Glove for a second consecutive season, becoming the first and only player in ISL history to achieve the feat.
He has kept 52 clean sheets in 164 appearances, averaging three saves per game and maintaining a 71% save percentage. His performances have often been the difference, and his leadership at the back defines the Blues' defensive identity.
Right-Back – Harmanjot Singh Khabra

Khabra may have played for multiple ISL clubs, but his best and most consistent spell came with Bengaluru FC.
Deployed mainly as a right-back, Khabra also slotted into the midfield when needed and delivered with the same intensity. He was part of the ISL Cup-winning squad in 2018–19 and made over 60 appearances for the Blues across four seasons.
His relentless work rate, tactical discipline, and ability to do the dirty work often went unnoticed, but never unappreciated.
While Nikhil Poojary was a close contender, Khabra’s early impact and contribution in the ISL Cup win gave him the nod.
Centre-Backs: Rahul Bheke and Juanan

Rahul Bheke has been one of the most dependable Indian defenders for Bengaluru FC, contributing significantly in both of his stints at the club. He initially spent four seasons with the Blues before making a return ahead of the 2024–25 campaign.
A versatile presence, Bheke has seamlessly switched between right-back and centre-back roles, delivering consistent performances in both. His intelligence, work ethic, and tactical maturity made him a key figure during BFC’s rise in the ISL.
His most memorable moment came in the 2018–19 ISL final, where he scored the match-winning goal in extra time to help Bengaluru FC lift their first ISL Cup. Across two spells, he has made over 90 appearances, scoring eight goals and registering two assists.
A big-game player and a leader by example, Bheke’s place in this all-time XI is well deserved.

Bengaluru FC have had no shortage of quality foreign centre-backs over the years; names like Albert Serran, Alan Costa, and Aleksandar Jovanovic come to mind, but Juanan’s enduring presence and influence gave him the nod.
The Spanish defender was a key part of the club’s early ISL years, spending four seasons at the heart of their defence in the ISL. Calm, composed, and strong in the air, Juanan brought stability and leadership at the back during a period when the club reached two ISL finals and lifted the ISL Cup in 2018–19.
He made 71 appearances, was involved in 25 clean sheets, and even contributed with six goal involvements. His presence in BFC’s most successful years makes him a natural pick in this lineup.
Left-Back: Naorem Roshan Singh

Roshan Singh made his ISL debut with Bengaluru FC in the 2020–21 season, but it wasn’t until the following year under Marco Pezzaiuoli that he truly burst onto the scene. After starting as a right-back, Roshan eventually transitioned to the left side and has since become a reliable and influential figure in that position.
One of his biggest strengths is his two-footedness, allowing him to deliver threatening crosses from either flank and from set-pieces. His attacking instinct and composure on the ball give Bengaluru FC a dynamic edge going forward.
In 91 appearances, Roshan has been involved in 22 clean sheets, scored two goals, and provided 14 assists, while also creating 100 chances, remarkable numbers for a full-back.
While Nishu Kumar played a key role during the club’s early ISL years, Roshan’s growing influence and attacking output make him the standout choice at left-back in this XI.
Defensive Midfielder: Erik Paartalu

Bengaluru FC couldn’t have asked for a better midfield general than Erik Paartalu. The Australian brought power, balance, and purpose to the heart of midfield and became a pillar of consistency during the club’s initial years in the ISL.
Known for his tireless work rate and presence across the pitch, Paartalu made 67 appearances for the Blues, scoring nine goals and assisting seven, many of them in clutch situations. His ability to dictate play from deep while popping up with crucial contributions made him more than just a holding midfielder.
While the club have signed a few midfielders since his departure, none have matched the consistency and big-game presence he brought to the heart of the pitch.
Central Midfielders: Dimas Delgado and Suresh Singh Wangjam

If Paartalu was the engine, Dimas Delgado was the brain of Bengaluru FC’s midfield. Calm on the ball and sharp without it, Delgado added poise, creativity, and structure to the team in equal measure.
A complete midfielder with outstanding passing range and set-piece quality, the Spaniard seamlessly linked defence to attack. In his 67 appearances, Delgado notched 14 assists and four goals, often serving as the deep-lying playmaker or a higher creative outlet depending on the system.
Together with Paartalu, he formed one of the most effective midfield duos in ISL history, steering BFC to three playoffs in four seasons. While others like Edu Garcia and Javi Hernandez have impressed, Delgado’s versatility and consistency give him the edge.

From a promising youngster to a midfield engine, Suresh Singh Wangjam’s rise at Bengaluru FC has been nothing short of inspiring.
Joining the club in the 2019–20 season, his early days were about learning from the likes of Erik Paartalu and Dimas Delgado. By the following season, he had cemented his spot in the starting XI and never looked back.
In six seasons with the Blues so far, Suresh has made 113 ISL appearances, showcasing tireless energy, smart positioning, and a growing influence on both ends of the pitch. With eight goal contributions, he’s added more to his game each year and remains a crucial presence in the BFC midfield.
Still only in his early 20s, Suresh’s journey is far from over, but his consistency and impact already earn him a well-deserved place in this all-time XI.
Right Winger - Udanta Singh

A fan favourite and one of Bengaluru FC’s most loyal servants during their early ISL years, Udanta Singh made the right flank his own.
Known for his blistering pace, tireless runs, and sharp deliveries into the box, Udanta was a constant attacking outlet. His chemistry with Sunil Chhetri added a different dimension to the Blues’ forward play, often catching defences off guard.
Across six seasons, he made over 100 appearances, registering 11 goals and 14 assists, and played a key role in four playoff runs, including three ISL finals. His ability to stretch defences and step up on the big stage makes him an automatic pick in this all-time XI.
Left Winger – Sunil Chhetri

A name synonymous with Bengaluru FC, Sunil Chhetri is the heart and soul of the club. The Indian football icon has spent eight ISL seasons with the Blues, leading by example both on and off the pitch.
In 166 appearances, Chhetri has scored 68 goals and provided 13 assists for Bengaluru FC. He is also the ISL’s all-time leading goalscorer with 75 goals overall. Whether playing as a central striker or drifting wide, Chhetri has always been a tireless workhorse, putting in the hard yards, tracking back, and stepping up when it mattered most.
Now 40 years old, he remarkably matched his best-ever ISL tally last season with 14 goals and two assists, equalling his debut campaign with the Blues. It’s a true testament to his longevity, consistency, and elite mentality.
For Bengaluru FC, there was never any doubt that Sunil Chhetri is part of this all-time XI.
Striker – Miku Fedor

Many players have spent more time at Bengaluru FC, but few have left an impact as strong as Miku.
The Venezuelan forward took the ISL by storm in BFC’s debut campaign, scoring a staggering 15 goals in 20 appearances as the Blues marched to the final. His flair, finishing, and link-up play added a new dimension to the team’s attack.
Miku continued his brilliance in the 2018–19 season, playing a crucial role as Bengaluru FC went one step further and clinched the ISL Cup. Across just two seasons, he recorded 24 goal involvements (20 goals, 4 assists) in 32 appearances, cementing his place as one of the most impactful foreign signings in the club’s history.
Head Coach – Carles Cuadrat

Carles Cuadrat took charge of Bengaluru FC ahead of the 2018–19 season, following Albert Roca’s departure. Having previously served as an assistant under Roca, Cuadrat brought familiarity, tactical discipline, and a defensive edge to the Blues.
In his very first season as head coach, he guided the team to their first-ever ISL Cup, capping off a dominant campaign. Cuadrat stayed at the helm for two and a half seasons, during which Bengaluru FC set several records.
While Albert Roca laid the foundation and Gerard Zaragoza sparked a recent revival, Cuadrat’s ISL Cup-winning pedigree during one of BFC’s most dominant phases makes him our pick to lead this all-time XI.
