Erik Paartalu turned out for a number of Scottish and Australian clubs before joining Tianjin Teda in China. He moved to Muangthong United in Thailand in 2014 before returning to Australia to represent Melbourne City. His next destinations were South Korea’s Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors and Qatar’s Al Kharaitiyat. He signed for Bengaluru FC in 2017 and played a big part in the Blues’ run to the final and the 2018 Hero Super Cup 2018 win in his debut season in India. The Aussie midfielder also contributed heavily during the 2018-19 season but missed out on the semi-finals and the final after sustaining an injury. Paartalu continued his fine form for the Blues, leading them to the semis of the 2019-20 season, and was once again an important player during their 2020-21 campaign.
