Kerala Blasters FC defender Milos Drincic is focused on creating history by clinching the club's first-ever title. Drincic had a stellar debut season with Kerala Blasters FC in the 2023-24 campaign, becoming a key figure in their defense. The 25-year-old footballer featured in 19 Indian Super League (ISL) games during the 2023–24 season and contributed to five clean sheets.

The Montenegrin centre-backrecently signed an extension with the club, securing his stay until 2026.

In a recent interview with Kerala Blasters FC's media team, Drincic expressed his delight at continuing with the club and shared his determination to lead the team to its first-ever silverware.

Sharing his enthusiasm for extending his stay with the Yellow Army, an excited Drincic said, "The feeling is really great. I must say that I'm really, really happy, and I feel honored to be here for the next two years."

"Everyone in the club, from the board to the players and coaches, makes me feel at home — also fans, of course. So it was an easy decision to stay here and to be part of this project for the next two years," he added.

Drincic showcased his potential and defensive prowess last season, leading Kerala Blasters FC's defensive line and setting a strong example.

Adapting quickly to a new continent and the Blasters' energetic atmosphere, Drincic became a key player and a regular starter in the team’s lineup. He made 20 interceptions, won 65 duels, succeeded in 14 tackles, attempted 81 clearances, and averaged 41 passes per game. He also posed a threat during set-piece situations, utilizing his towering presence in the opponent’s box and scoring two goals in his first ISL season.

Drincic believes that his previous experience playing in the ISL and his understanding of his teammates will help him in the upcoming season.

"Last year, for example, I played all the games. I missed only three-four games in which I was suspended. So now, I think that I know my team and other teams better," he stated.

"I think that I can make bigger things in the next few years, and I think that this club and we as players and fans can expect some trophies. And I'm here to bring trophies," he commented.

Sharing his observations and undertakings on playing in the ISL, Drincic acknowledged, "One thing that I learned from the Indian Super League is that it's very, very tough (league) competition. Every game is tough; every game is close."

"There are no easy games, but there are also no hard games that we cannot win. Every game is 50-50, so I think we must go strong in every game and have the mindset to win. I think this team can win every game," he continued.

However, the defender remained focused and expressed his utmost dedication to winning titles with Kerala Blasters FC. Underlining his target, Drincic said, "For the current season, I must say that mine and the team's goal is to win some trophies."

"I think that a club like Kerala Blasters FC deserves this, as do we as players and coaches and everyone in the club. 100%, I want to win a trophy with Kerala Blasters FC this year," he signed off.
