Hero ISL 2022-23 playoffs: ATK Mohun Bagan finish third, set up clash with Odisha FC
ATK Mohun Bagan have confirmed a third-place finish in the Hero ISL standings and will go on to face Odisha FC in a one-legged knockout tie at home, with the winner advancing to the semi-finals.

The Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2022-23 season has simply been remarkable thus far. The season, which has already overseen a plethora of records being created and broken, will unravel additional drama. Mumbai City FC were crowned league winners after a season of unmatched dominance and were joined in the playoffs by Hyderabad FC, Kerala Blasters FC, Bengaluru FC.
Odisha FC and FC Goa were the two teams fighting for the final top-six place and the battle went down to the wire. Both sides lost their final league fixtures, but it was the Juggernauts who went through following FC Goa's away defeat to Bengaluru FC.
While Bengaluru FC confirmed a top-four finish with a victory in their last league fixture against the Gaurs, ATK Mohun Bagan's win over East Bengal FC in the Kolkata Derby has helped the Mariners finish third. Bengaluru FC and Kerala Blasters FC will face Kerala Blasters FC and Odisha FC respectively in a one-legged playoff knockout fixture.

Mumbai City FC are the League Shield winners and became the first team to qualify for the playoffs of the Hero ISL 2022-23 season. The Islanders were on course to finish the season unbeaten after not ending up on the losing side in 18 games, but suffered two straight defeats to Bengaluru FC and East Bengal FC respectively. They will face either Bengaluru FC or Kerala Blasters FC in the semi-finals.

Hyderabad FC have ensured a second-place finish and confirmed their place in the Hero ISL playoffs, thereby becoming the second team to do so after Mumbai City FC. They will look to finish the season on a high in the final game of the matchweek against Kerala Blasters FC and will face either ATK Mohun Bagan or Odisha FC in the semi-finals.
