Boithang Haokip will be hoping for more game time when Mumbai City FC host Atlético de Kolkata at the Mumbai Football Arena on Tuesday. The 25-year-old from Manipur impressed after coming off the bench against NorthEast United FC in his side’s last outing. Haokip injected energy and dynamism to Mumbai’s midfield in the closing stages of their 1-0 win against the Highlanders, which helped the Maharashtra-outfit register their second win on the bounce. Here are the excerpts from the interview.How have preparations been ahead of the ATK clash?It’s very important for us to win the game in order to stay at the top of the table. Atlético de Kolkata are a very strong team. It will be a tough game for both teams, which is why we are preparing very well to get maximum points. What are your thoughts on that?We played two games and won both the matches. It is always good to start with positive results. We will try to win all our matches to get into the semis.How important has Diego Forlan’s captaincy been for Mumbai City FC this season?He is very important for us.
