The new Indian Super League (ISL) season is fast approaching, and with it comes the excitement of the ISL Fantasy game. Launched on Wednesday, this season promises to be even more engaging with flexible transfer rules and changes to the point-scoring system.

This season introduces Mohammedan SC, expanding the league to 13 teams and increasing the number of matches, which will demand even more strategic planning from ISL Fantasy managers.

With many players seeing significant price increases compared to last season, assembling a strong and balanced squad will require careful consideration. Some player prices have nearly doubled from the ISL 2023-24 season, adding a new layer of complexity to the game and making it a challenge for managers to acquire all the top players.

With that, take a look at the most expensive players from each team.

Bengaluru FC

Jorge Diaz, Forward, 10 CR

One of the most seasoned forwards in the league, the Argentine is set to begin his fourth season in Indian football, now representing Bengaluru FC, which will be his third club.

Last season, Diaz was a favoured choice in the fantasy game, finishing the season valued at 8 CR. He scored 10 goals for Mumbai City FC, tying with Lallianzuala Chhangte as the top scorer in the ISL.

He’s already made a strong start with Bengaluru FC, being the joint-top scorer during the Durand Cup and contributing to five goals across as many matches.

Chennaiyin FC

Wilmar Jordan Gil, Forward, 9.5 CR

Chennaiyin FC’s new signing, Wilmar Jordan Gil, is the most expensive player in their squad and ranks among the priciest forwards in the game.

Gil had an outstanding 2023-24 season with Punjab FC, scoring eight goals in 15 appearances after joining them during the winter transfer window. As a result of his impressive performance, his price has seen a substantial increase, up from Rs 5.1 CR at the end of the previous season.

East Bengal FC

Dimitrios Diamantakos, Forward, 12 CR

Last season’s Golden Boot winner, Diamantakos, is the most expensive forward in the game, commanding a hefty price of 12 CR—up significantly from the 8.4 CR he was valued at last season with Kerala Blasters FC.

Despite Kerala Blasters FC' injury-plagued campaign, the Greek forward was exceptional, contributing 13 goals and three assists in just 17 appearances. He has already made an impact with his new club East Bengal FC, scoring his debut goal in the Durand Cup.

New signing Madih Talal isn’t far behind in terms of cost, featuring among the priciest midfielders with a price tag of 11.5 CR. This represents a nearly twofold increase from his previous valuation of 5.9 CR, reflecting his breakout season with Punjab FC.

FC Goa

Iker Guarrotxena, Forward, 9.5 CR

Listed as a forward, Guarrotxena makes a return to FC Goa after a season and comes with a hefty price tag. He was the top scorer for the Gaurs in the 2022-23 season before leaving the club. The Spaniard joined Mumbai City FC midway through the 2023-24 season and quickly showcased his goal-scoring prowess, netting three goals and providing two assists in six appearances before an injury ended his season early.

In defence, Jay Gupta is now available for fantasy managers at Rs 6.5 CR, a significant increase from his 4 CR valuation last season. The full-back had a standout campaign for the Gaurs, contributing two goals and three assists while helping secure nine clean sheets. He is the joint-most expensive defender in the game, along with Amey Ranawade of Odisha FC.

Hyderabad FC

Abdul Rabeeh, Midfielder, 6 CR

Rabeeh is priced at 6 CR, making him the most expensive player in the Hyderabad FC squad despite his relatively modest price tag. Although he recorded only one assist last season, he stood out as one of the team's bright spots during a challenging campaign where they finished at the bottom of the table. Rabeeh was the top chance creator for Hyderabad FC, highlighting his significant contribution to the team's attacking play.

Jamshedpur FC

Javi Hernandez, Midfielder, 9.5 CR

After transferring from Bengaluru FC to Jamshedpur FC, Hernandez is now one of the premium midfielders in the game, bringing a wealth of ISL experience since joining the league in the 2019-20 season.

Although Hernandez didn’t reach his peak form last season, he was still a joint-top scorer for the Blues during their disappointing campaign. With Jamshedpur FC having lost several key players, Hernandez will be expected to play a crucial role and will need to step up to help the Men of Steel succeed.

Kerala Blasters FC

Noah Sadaoui, Midfielder, 11.5 CR

Kerala Blasters FC’s new signing, Sadaoui, is the second most expensive midfielder in ISL Fantasy, priced at 11.5 CR, just behind Talal. Last season, he was the top scorer for FC Goa, netting 11 goals and narrowly missing out on the Golden Boot while helping his team reach the semi-finals.

The Moroccan has quickly adapted to his new club, showcasing his talent in the Durand Cup by scoring six goals. Despite Kerala Blasters FC's quarter-final exit, Sadaoui secured the Golden Boot in the tournament.

For those seeking a more budget-friendly option in Kerala Blasters FC's attack, Adrian Luna is a popular choice in ISL Fantasy, available at 10.5 CR.

Mohammedan SC

Alexis Lopez, Midfielder, 6.5 CR

Lalremsanga Fanai, Midfielder, 6.5 CR

Carlos Freires (Franca), Forward, 6.5 CR

Cesar Manzoki, Forward, 6.5 CR

Mohammedan Sporting Club offers several intriguing, mid-priced options in ISL Fantasy.

Midfielders Alexis Lopez and Lalremsanga Fanai, along with the forward duo of Carlos Freires and Cesar Manzoki, are all available for Rs 6.5 CR. While Freires and Manzoki are new to the club, Lopez stands out as a compelling choice. He was instrumental in Mohammedan's I-League triumph last season, leading the team in assists and contributing to nine goals. Winger Fanai also made a notable impact, scoring four goals.

Mohun Bagan Super Giant

Dimitrios Petratos, Midfielder, 13 CR

Listed as a midfielder, Petratos is the priciest player in the game at an eye-watering Rs 13 CR. He played a pivotal role in his team's League Shield victory last season, scoring 10 goals and providing seven assists. His outstanding performance earned him the Golden Ball award, enjoying another stellar campaign with the Mariners.

Vishal Kaith, Goalkeeper, 6 CR

Another high-priced option in defence is goalkeeper Vishal Kaith, valued at Rs 6 CR, making him one of the most expensive keepers alongside Mumbai City FC’s Phurba Lachenpa. Kaith was instrumental for the team last season, recording the joint-highest number of clean sheets and making crucial saves for the Mariners.

Mumbai City FC

Lallianzuala Chhangte, Midfielder, 10.5 CR

Last season’s top Indian scorer, Chhangte, is priced at Rs 10.5 CR for the upcoming campaign, making him the most expensive Indian player in the game. Listed as a midfielder, Chhangte had a slow start to the season but ultimately proved his value by finishing as a joint-top scorer for the Islanders with 10 goals. His key contributions were instrumental in the Islanders' success, helping them secure the ISL Cup and achieve silverware for the second consecutive season.

Phurba Lachenpa, Goalkeeper, 6 CR

Another notable Indian player in the goalkeeping category is Lachenpa, who is priced at Rs 6 CR, matching Kaith as the joint-most expensive keeper. The Sikkim-born custodian earned the Golden Glove award last season by securing a joint-highest nine clean sheets and was one of the big reasons why the Islanders conceded the least goals in the previous season.

NorthEast United FC

Nestor Albiach, Midfielder, 7.5 CR

Albiach is set to be available for Rs 7.5 CR in the upcoming season, marking nearly a doubling of his previous price, which was Rs 4 CR at the end of last season.

He had a standout debut season with NorthEast United FC, coming close to securing a playoff spot for the team. Albiach contributed significantly with five goals and three assists, finishing as their second-highest scorer. He also had a remarkable campaign in the Durand Cup 2024, helping the Highlanders win their first trophy.

Odisha FC

Roy Krishna, Forward, 10.5CR

Krishna is another player who has seen a significant price increase for the upcoming season, with his new valuation rising from Rs 6.8 CR at the end of the ISL 2023-24 campaign. The Odisha FC forward demonstrated why he’s regarded as one of the league’s top strikers, scoring 13 goals and providing three assists, just missing out on the Golden Boot. He emerged as a talismanic presence for the Kalinga Warriors, playing a crucial role in Sergio Lobera’s side.

Amey Ranawade, Defender, 6.5 CR

Odisha FC full-back Ranawade is set to be one of the priciest options this season, making him the joint-most expensive defender in ISL Fantasy. This price increase follows a stellar performance last season, where he played a key role in Odisha FC's semi-final run. Ranawade contributed with one goal and six assists while also keeping eight clean sheets. Despite ending the previous season priced at Rs 3.6 CR, he led all defenders in contributions.

Punjab FC

Luka Majcen, Forward, 8.5 CR

As one of the most experienced players in the Punjab FC squad, captain Luka Majcen is unsurprisingly the most expensive player this season, priced at 8.5 CR.

Although Majcen flew under the radar last season with former teammate Talal often in the spotlight, he played a vital role in the attack, contributing eight goals and two assists. With both Talal and Jordan Gil having left the club, Majcen will now carry greater goal-scoring responsibilities.
