FC Goa completely dominated FC Pune City to register a 4-0 victory at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex Stadium in Pune on Sunday in Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2017-18. Goa bagged maximum points thanks to Ferran Corominas’ brace and a goal each from Hugo Boumous and Manuel Lanzarote, while the Stallions saw their captain Marcelinho being sent off after picking up two yellow cards. With Emiliano Alfaro missing from action, the Stallions failed to find the back of the net gifting the Gaurs their first ever clean sheet of the season. After the final whistle, indiansuperleague.com caught up with the hosts young defender Sahil Panwar for his views on the match and the road ahead. Here are the excerpts.

Your thoughts on the game?

We are playing good, but it is up to us as we are making some mistakes. In the first half, we conceded the penalty and you know, it’s hard to decide the game. Goa played very well. Next game we will do better and go for the win and get those three points.

What do you think went wrong today?

The main thing is that (Emiliano) Alfaro is not there and it’s very difficult because Marcelinho is alone. If both of them are there, then it’s a very good combination as they have good speed and good understanding of the game. We missed Alfaro a lot today.

After being shown the red card, Marcelinho is suspended for the next game. What do you think about that?

Yes, we know that he is suspended for the next game, but Alfaro will be there in that game. We will play for the win and even if Marcelinho is not there, we will give our 100% and try to win.

After today’s defeat, how are you looking to bounce back against Delhi Dynamos FC next?

I know it’s a big defeat for us, but we will bounce back stronger and will look to beat the Dynamos 3-0 or 2-0.
