Krisztian Vadocz got his third goal of Hero Indian Super League 2016 during Mumbai City FC’s 2-0 win over Chennaiyin FC at the Mumbai Football Arena on Wednesday evening. Matias Defederico opened the scoring in the first half before Vadocz sealed the three points and a maiden semis berth for Mumbai on the hour mark with a well-executed volley from the edge of the box. His goal capped off a good day at the office for the Hungarian, who also completed two successful tackles, three blocks, five interceptions and ended the game with a passing accuracy of 83%. The 31-year-old spoke to indiansuperleague.com after the game and shared his thoughts. Here are the excerpts from the interview.Another brilliant performance for Mumbai City FC at home. How happy are you?I think it was a perfect evening for us because our objective was to take the points and reach the semi-finals and we did it. It was very important to show that we are a compact and united team. We have the momentum now and we play against Delhi at home, so we will look to ride on that wave.Mumbai have scored seven goals in the last two games and kept three clean sheets in the last three games, so do you think you guys are peaking at the right time? You know to score that many goals is always good and to win a league, the clean sheet is most important and we can say that the whole team has done a fantastic job and our objective to reach the semi-final has now become a milestone in our journey. How big a part have the fans played in Mumbai’s great home form this season? You know it is twenty million hearts beating for us, supporting us and to see the spirit of the fans is great and I hope this is just the start of things to come.
