Lucian Goian put in another solid performance at the back for Mumbai City FC during their 0-0 draw against Delhi Dynamos FC at the Mumbai Football Arena on Saturday. The draw helped Mumbai cement their spot at the top of the Hero Indian Super League 2016 table after ending the league stage with 23 points from 14 games. The Romanian centre-back look assured at the heart of Mumbai’s defence as he marshalled their backline to yet another clean sheet. Goian completed two successful tackles, two blocks, two clearances and two interceptions on the night. The 33-year-old spoke to indiansuperleague.com after the match and shared his thoughts on the game. Here are the excerpts from the interview.What are your thoughts on the game?I think it was a good game and I think we had a lot of chances to score but sadly we did not score and we won’t stop until we win the trophy.You guys have finished top of the league stage, so how do you feel?Before the season started I said we want to be in first place at the end of the league stage but it is not finished and it will finish only when we win the trophy.Yet another clean sheet, so how is the team gelling in defence?I am very proud of the defence and the whole team is contributing to the defence and I am proud of this.How is the preparation for the semi-final going, any different preparation?We can play against any team and we can beat anybody at any time and we are confident, and we know what to do and we have quality players and we are not afraid of anything.
