Adrian Luna signs for Kerala Blasters FC
Kerala Blasters FC is delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Adrian Nicolas Luna Retamar ahead of the 2021/22 Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) season. The Uruguayan attacking midfielder joins Kerala Blasters FC from Melbourne City on a two-year contract.
Adrian Luna made 24 appearances for Melbourne City in the A-League last season and found the net 3 times and assisted 4 goals for the club. He made his first-team debut with Defensor in 2010. He was later signed by La Liga club RCD Espanyol in the year 2011. From RCD Espanyol he was sent out for short loan stints with Gimnàstic de Tarragona and CE Sabadell FC.
The versatile midfielder has spent last two seasons in the A-League and has been a regular for Melbourne City who won the championship in the 2020-21 season. He wore the Uruguayan colours for the U-17 as well as the U20 national teams and netted a total of 9 goals. He also played in the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2009 and the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2011 and scored once in both the tournaments.

Adrian Luna becomes the first overseas player this season at Kerala Blasters FC, and the fifth arrival after Sanjeev Stalin, Hormipam Ruivah, Vincy Barretto, and Harmanjot Khabra.
