Ahead of the second leg of their semi-final at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda on Tuesday, FC Goa head coach Zico is confident his team will overturn the 1-0 deficit against Delhi Dynamos FC and seal a place in the 2015 Hero Indian Super League final. The Gaurs lost the first away leg in New Delhi and a 2-0 win in Goa will be sufficient for them to advance to the final slated to be played in Goa on December 20.“I am never happy with a loss. We had so many opportunities to score in that game. We can’t forget that the opportunity they got to score came right after Raju [Gaikwad] got injured. Most of their chances came from that side. I had to put Romeo [Fernandes] in his place and Romeo is an offensive player. So they made the most of it,” Zico told reporters on Monday.“I can’t say that Delhi had supremacy in that game because it is not true. They had their chances, we had our chances also. They scored, but we couldn’t. The team is better prepared this time compared to the previous game.“Psychological edge with Goa, considering some of the Delhi players have said that they were disappointed that they couldn’t score more. The Goa players were also very upset as they lost so many opportunities to score.”Goa will have to win with a two-goal margin to advance to the final. However, the match will head into extra time and then penalty shoot-out in case both teams are tied on aggregate since the Hero ISL doesn’t have the away goal rule. On the possibility of the latter, Zico, whose team had lost to eventual champions Atlético de Kolkata on penalty shootout last season in the semis, said: “We’ve been practicing penalties and set-pieces since the beginning of the league. It is a common thing for us. Of course it is important, it is part of the game; we have some of our usual players who take penalties at the end of practice. It is part of the game and we practice it.”Zico also hinted that his team will continue playing their attacking brand of football. “It depends on the team that we put tomorrow. We have to use the same philosophy which we have used from the beginning and which has put us in this position. We will look for the victory,” the Brazilian said.Goa beat Delhi in both their home and away games in the league stage before losing the first leg of the semi-final. Zico said nothing much had changed between the teams since their first match of the season on October 4. “I don’t think it has changed very much because the players they have used and the players we have used are almost the same and everyone knows each other very well. Of course, the only difference I can see is that the players are more tired now than at the beginning of the league and also they know each other better, so they are more like a group now. It’s just what you do on the day, for both the teams. Sometimes you take chances, sometimes you don’t. We know everything that we need to know about Delhi and Delhi know everything they need to know about FC Goa. And at the end of the day, who does the best job will win.”
