Delhi Dynamos FC head coach Gianluca Zambrotta wants better finishing from his strikers following a 1-1 draw against FC Pune City at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on Thursday evening. The Lions heavily dominated the game but a lapse in concentration in first-half stoppage time led to Pune's goal and just when it appeared they were heading towards their second successive defeat, Milan Singh saved the day with a brilliant strike in the 79th minute.“After the last match we prepared very well for this match. As you can see today we dominated and created 5-6 very clear opportunities but unfortunately didn't score. However, this is football and this is not a problem. Sometimes it's luck. Last game and today, we were not lucky. We have had a lot of opportunities and unfortunately we didn't capitalise. We need to work harder than before to ensure we finish such opportunities,” Zambrotta told reporters after the match on Thursday.“In football you need to accept what happens. In Kolkata, we had the opportunity to score but missed a penalty and this mistake of ours led to them scoring and winning the match. Today similarly we dominated but towards the end of the first half there was a defensive lapse and they scored. Like from the last match, we need to learn from our mistakes. These mistakes are very dangerous for us.”Zambrotta also gave the rationale behind fielding Souvik Chakraborty in midfield today. “When I started training the Delhi Dynamos FC team, Souvik Chakraborty mostly played in defence. Of course, he is a good midfielder. He can play as a midfielder very well too but at the moment he plays mostly in defence because he is very sensible about his positioning,” the Italian said. The 39-year-old was also effusive in praise of Milan, whose goal saved Delhi's blushes. “He is a very young and promising talent for Indian football. Since he is young he has a lot of scope to keep getting better. You need to keep working hard day by day, if he continues working hard he will keep getting better,” he said.Zambrotta also defended striker Richard Gadze, who has often been wasteful this season. “Gadze is very important for the team. He is playing very well this season. Of course you need to capitalise on the opportunities because when does that, it helps the team,” he said.
