Delhi Dynamos FC head coach Gianluca Zambrotta reckons their 4-3 defeat at the hands of FC Pune City on Friday evening will help his players to focus better in their remaining three matches of the league stage of the 2016 Hero ISL. Despite the defeat, the Lions continue to top the table with 17 points from 11 games, and Zambrotta provided his assessment of the game in his post-match press conference at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex Stadium in Balewadi.“We knew before the match that we were playing against a difficult team, a good team. We made too many mistakes in the first half. It’s difficult when you have to chase two goals just to stay in the match. The important thing is we have three more games to achieve our semis spot, which is our target. Sometimes a loss can help too, it will help us to get better,” the Italian said.Delhi displayed attacking football throughout the game just like they have done all season. In their previous game against Atlético de Kolkata, despite being one-man down and going behind twice, the Lions managed to take one point through some aggressive football. Zambrotta is pleased with his team’s positive approach that seen them score a whopping 21 goals in 11 games so far this season. “…We stay positive in the match. This is a big positive for us, the mentality. Not wanting to give up and throw in the towel. We fight till the last minute. I would say that is our biggest positive,” the 39-year-old said.He added: “Also, it is really important that we, as a team, have the capability to score in every game. It is important to score more goals than the opponents. If one team [this season] has the capability to score a lot of goals in each game, it’s us and that’s a very big positive for us.”“This team likes to play [attacking] football…We want to be very attacking. Unfortunately, in the last two matches we have conceded a few more goals than we would have liked, so we would have to go back and review our team and check what is going wrong.”Delhi now host FC Goa on November 27.
