FC Goa coach Zico feels that it is imperative for his side to win tomorrow at home against Atlético de Kolkata, and is upbeat about his side’s chances against the league leaders.Speaking at a pre-match press conference, the Brazilian legend said, “It is important as a team to create opportunities. It wasn’t so only in the second game but even in the first. It is important to take the right call and do the right things so that we can put the ball into the back of the net.”However, Zico jokingly added that he cannot depend on his central defenders to score goals. The job has to be done by the others. He also revealed that he would stick with his current 4-1-4-1 formation for the time being, despite the lack of goals. Speaking about the injury that Kolkata marquee player Luis García picked up against Delhi Dynamos the other day, Zico noted that it would help the hosts only if the visiting side turned up with ten men. “He is an excellent player and Atlético de Kolkata will miss him, but they have many other good players who can replace him. As a coach, we always want the best players on the pitch, but injuries are part of the game,” he commented.Zico believes that despite the lack of playing time in the past few years, Robert Pirès has quality and was quick to jump to the defence of his marquee player when queried if the Frenchman was a liability to the hosts. “Don’t put any pressure on him. He may be older than most other guys but he’s a professional. We know his limitations but he’s still got a lot to show. He’s a very important player for the side,” Zico said.Left-back André Santos, who started in the previous game in the holding role in front of defence, was also present at the press-conference. “I’m fit and ready for the game and my concentration level is good as well. I arrived only a week or so ago but I’ve been practising every day. I hope to improve every game I play because we don’t have enough time to practice considering we play game after game every few days. We do, however, need to keep fit,” the Brazilian international said.
