Chennaiyin FC head coach Thomas Brdaric acknowledges that they don't have a streak like Mumbai City FC but have three points to lose as they visit the Mumbai Football Arena for a reverse fixture against Mumbai city FC in the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) on Saturday.

Chennaiyin FC is the only team in the league who scored first against the Islanders. Despite going two nil up, the Marina Machans lost the match 2-6 in the home fixture. Brdaric again wants their players to face Mumbai city FC in an aggressive manner and have an aim to  inflict the loss in the best case scenario.

The win against the table toppers would boost the confidence of Chennaiyin FC but the depleted squad ahead of the game would pose a challenge for their aim at the Mumbai Football Arena.

Brdaric addressed the media in the pre match press conference along with Peter Sliskovic, who scored against Mumbai city FC in both the matches(Durand cup and home fixture) they played so far.

Here are the excerpts from Brdaric Conference:

Your high pressing game against Kerala Blasters FC worked well and it seems Mumbai City FC is also vulnerable to counter pressing. So is it possible to execute the same without having much time between two games?

It is good to know that we are competitive to face all teams in the Hero ISL in a professional way. We are going there with confidence. We know about the strengths of Mumbai City FC. They are in first position, the favorite (to win the league). We don't have a big streak to lose, but we have three points to lose and this approach we wanted to go there and to take points and in the best case, inflict a defeat on them and this is our approach and our aim.

Mumbai City FC in the first position because they have shown consistent work and they grew up very well as a team and they use all opportunities, they exploit their opportunities very well and that's why we go there and try to break down what they are able to do with their strengths.

Half the Hero ISL season is done and you're not far away from the playoffs. So do you think you've set the base to launch yourself in the second half ?

We have been working for almost half a year and we are in learning processes and the most important thing is to learn fast, be rapid in professional football. I know how to deal with that. I try to teach, to coach the team in a high professional way. Everybody must deliver in time. We will be prepared because our processes will be the same. We have to work in detail. We have a squad, they are hungry. They want to work and to work hard. This is a very positive sign.

In all games, we are able to score and now the focus should be on defending. We have to work hard against the ball which was lacking in the first six months as we conceded too many goals. If we can do that while holding the positive thing of scoring goals, we're going in the right way.

Here the excerpts from Sliskovic conference:

You scored against Mumbai city in the Durand Cup and you scored against them in the home fixture as well. So as a striker going into such a game does it give you confidence having already reached their defense twice?

Of course. If you are a striker and score a goal every time it is good and  Every time it gives good confidence and. I hope I can score against them in the next game as well.

As opposed to last season, we are scoring goals. You and el Khayati are placed first and third in the golden boot race, so where are we lacking?

As a striker, we work really well in the front, I think we need to do more work in the defending too but not only the defenders but also strikers. We have scored 20 goals so far, the second most in the league. We look forward to it and I hope we can score in the next games also.
