We need to maintain the momentum: Jamshedpur FC’s Imran Khan
The forward shared his season goals with the Men of Steel in an interview.

Jamshedpur FC winger Imran Khan urged his teammates to continue their positive start as he is determined to reach new heights with the club in the ongoing Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 season.
Hailing from Manipur, the 29-year-old footballer joined the Men of Steel last year from NorthEast United FC. Since then, Khan has featured in 23 ISL games for Jamshedpur FC, registering two goals and three assists for the club.
Under the guidance of experienced Indian head coach Khalid Jamil, Jamshedpur FC have made a solid start in the league, securing nine out of 12 possible points from their opening four games. Significantly, this is the best start to an ISL season for the former League Shield winners.
"The season is long, and (the) future is unpredictable. We have just started, and we need to maintain the momentum,” Khan said in an interview with mykhel.com.
“We need to work hard and do our best for the team and the fans. There is a lot of work to be done, and we are behind it," he added.
Jamshedpur FC have gone through several changes to their squad, with players like Jordan Murray, Stephen Eze, and Albino Gomes joining the club. Jamil’s men kicked off the season with commanding performances against heavyweights like FC Goa and defending ISL Cup winners Mumbai City FC.
Khan highlighted their positive dressing atmosphere and inter-squad bonding behind their strong start in the ISL 2024-25 season.
"We all have a good relationship within the team. Jordan (Murray), (Javier) Siverio, Javi (Hernandez), Len (Doungel), and (Mohammed) Sanan speak a lot about the match on and off (the) field, which helps us to play better on matchdays,” he revealed.
“Everyone has a good relationship, and I am happy to see all of them working towards a common goal," the forward continued.

Buoyed by the home support, the Men of Steel secured back-to-back wins in their opening two home fixtures. Khan shared his delight with having such a passionate fanbase by saying,
"I am very happy to see that the fans are really pushing us and standing with us. When you play in front of a full stadium, there is a lot of motivation to play for.”
“We need to win the Shield and the ISL Cup this season, and the support from the fans is the most important factor. We need such support in all our matches," he concluded.
