NorthEast United FC coach Khalid Jamil believes this team conceded silly goals as they lost 5-1 to Hyderabad FC in match 28 of Hero Indian Super League (ISL) at Athletic Stadium, Bambolim, Goa on Monday.

Hyderabad FC controlled the game in the first half. NorthEast United FC went two goals down inside the opening half an hour of the match. They got one back through Danmawia just before the halftime whistle. And building on it, they came out strong in the second half. They kept pushing on but conceded three goals in the last fifteen minutes of the match.

In the backdrop of NorthEast United FC’s defeat to Hyderabad FC, coach Jamil addressed the media in the post-match press conference.

Here are the excerpts from the press conference.

Do you feel the team could have been more efficient today?

Yeah everybody tried hard. I don’t want to blame anybody, they all worked hard. We have to think about the next game.

The start to the second half was good but the team couldn’t score. Where did things go wrong?

We conceded silly goals in the last ten minutes. After the third and fourth goals the players’ morale went down.

Why did Deshorn Brown and Khassa Camara not play today?

Obviously they are injured.

Four defeats in six games. How will we turn this around?

We should not think about the defeats. We must forget and think about the next game.
