Mumbai City FC head coach Petr Kratky shared his thoughts ahead of their next home match against Mohun Bagan Super Giant.
Mumbai City FC head coach Petr Kratky is totally aware of the strength and weaknesses of his opponent as his team faces Mohun Bagan Super Giant in the Indian Super League (ISL) match at the Mumbai Football Arena in Mumbai on Wednesday.
The Islanders are not only unbeaten in the ISL 2023–24 season but also against the Mariners, as they are yet to lose a match against Mohun Bagan Super Giant in the ISL.
The Czech-Australian though is aware of the strengths of the Mariners. But he also analysed their infirmities to expose them to secure their fifth win of the season.
"We are fully aware of Mohun Bagan Super Giant," Kratky stated in the pre-match press conference.
"They have very good quality players, though they lost some of their important players (due to injury). For us, we analyzse where we can expose them and also notice where they are dangerous," he continued.
Kratky is excited to face the unbeaten Mohun Bagan Super Giant but opines that their style of play will not change. Speaking in context, he stated:
"Mohun Bagan Super Giant is one of the top teams. We are excited to play (against them)"
"This is the event we are waiting for. Our way will not change; we will defend properly, but we have to do some work on how we can score more goals and create more goalscoring opportunities. We will just keep doing what we are doing; just make it better and quicker," he shared.
He urged his players to keep their intensity high and continue the same approach throughout the entire match.
"Our approach will always be the same against all the teams," he said.
"We need to do our best from the first minute to the last minute with the same approach, attitude, and intensity to maintain the standard. The way we want to play, it will not change," Kratky signed off.

Vikram Partap Singh accompanied his head coach ahead of their next home game against the Mariners. While speaking about the importance of this match, he shared that there is always a different mentality within the team whenever they face Mohun Bagan Super Giant, as they know these kinds of games can make a difference in the league.
"Whenever we play against Mohun Bagan Super Giant, we always have a different mentality," he opined.
"We all know these kinds of games can make a difference in the league. Everyone knows the importance of this match, so everyone will be ready for sure," he added.
Singh acknowledged that it has been a good experience to play under Kratky, as there is a lot of similarity in his style of football and thinking in comparison with former Mumbai City FC head coach Des Buckingham.
"It's a good experience to work with him, as his playing style and thinking are almost the same," he stated.
"Though there are very few changes, we all like them. I think in the last two matches, everyone gets a clear idea of what we want to do and what we need to do. Hope we will do better in this match," he concluded.
