Delhi Dynamos FC head coach Harm Van Veldhoven expects a tough challenge when his side take on bottom-of-the-league FC Goa at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda. Despite insisting that his side want to take three points back home, he had a good word to say about the opponents. Speaking at a press conference on the eve of the match, van Veldhoven said, "I've seen some good games from the Goa team. They don't deserve their position in the league table. They've been unlucky and should have had more points. I have great respect for what Goa have shown so far."Talking about the stark difference in culture with respect to football between Delhi and Goa, the manager noted, "Delhi is learning a new attitude for football unlike in Goa. Everything over here is different from Delhi. We're trying to prepare well and we'll see what we can bring."Having won only one of their four matches and drawn the other three, the Dutch manager said that results for his team didn't go their way. "At Kolkata, it wasn't bad. Against Pune and NorthEast, we deserved more. You have to take your moments in a tournament like this."When questioned about fitness of marquee player Alessandro Del Piero and his failure to score so far, the coach came to his striker's defence immediately. "I have to take care of everybody and we have to see how to get the best result. Let's not talk only about one player. All my players are marquee players," he said. Also present at the press conference were midfielder Adil Khan and striker Morten Skoubo. Khan maintained that the change of position (from defensive midfielder to right back) in the team will not affect his performance in any way. Skoubo was quick to praise the NorthEast team who have shown immense quality and mentality. "NorthEast have shown a tough mentality and the quality in the team is evident. We had a tough match against Atlético de Kolkata as well," he remarked.Skoubo also pointed out that the quality of the league was high and that to progress, his team would have to take their chances. "We have been lucky that the opposition hasn't scored against us in those two goalless draws. We met eight weeks ago. So for everyone to find their position in the team took time. Hopefully, we can see more and more players as this tournament progresses."
