We have come to the end of an exciting week of football in the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2021-22, which featured some of the biggest fixtures of the season, including the much hyped Kolkata Derby. The matches had everything in them - goals, nervy moments, brilliant individual performances, as well as heated exchanges on the pitch. As we step into the third week of the season, let us have a look at the top performing stars from Week 2 and players to look out for in Week 3.

Dream11 MVP of the Week

Javi Hernandez (Odisha FC) - 135 Dream 11 points

With a move from ATK Mohun Bagan in the summer transfer window, the Spanish midfielder is proving his worth for his new club. In the only match played this season, Hernandez scored a couple of sensational goals to propel Odisha FC to their maiden win over Bengaluru FC. With crucial matches ahead, his services will be more than crucial for the club.

Key Players from Week 1

Igor Angulo (Mumbai City FC) - 118 Dream11 points

The golden boot winner from the previous season is showing the class once again in the Hero ISL. Having played two matches so far, Angulo has already scored a couple and is looking for more. Up against a strong Bengaluru FC defence, Angulo’s experience will come into play as the Islanders seek a second win of the season.

Nerijus Valskis (Jamshedpur FC) - 116 Dream11 points

Already a hit in the past seasons of the Hero ISL, it was expected that the striker would deliver in the new season as well. Having already provided an assist in their opening fixture, Valskis scored a brace against FC Goa in the following game to script Jamshedpur FC’s first win of the season. A fox in the box, the footballers will hold the cards for the Red Miners in the upcoming matches.

Apart from the above list, let us have a look at the players we need to keep an eye in Week 3 of the Hero ISL 2021-22:

Hero ISL Dream11 recruiter: Players to look out for in Week 3

Ahmed Jahouh (Mumbai City FC) vs Bengaluru FC - 94 Dream11 points

One of the most consistent players in the history of the Hero ISL, Ahmed Jahouh has lived up to his reputation in the new season too. Omnipresent in the midfield, the Moroccan has 120 passes to his name, along with a goal and an assist in the two matches played so far. If Mumbai City FC are expecting to defend their title, Jahouh will have to play a huge role in the same.

Alan Costa (Bengaluru FC) vs Mumbai City FC - 86 Dream11 points

Despite the hot and cold start to the season for Bengaluru FC, centre-back Alan Costa has been one of best performing footballers in the new season. Rock solid at the back, the Brazilian often plays an advanced role and helps out in the attack, as he did against Odisha FC. With 208 passes, four blocks, four clearances, one goal and an assist to go along, the footballer is the man to watch out for in the remainder of the season.
