The All India Football Federation (AIFF) announced on Thursday that the tickets for the upcoming Hero Intercontinental Cup 2019 to be held at the EKA Arena in Ahmedabad from July 7 are now up for sale.

The tournament will be Igor Stimac’s home debut and the second competition that the Blue Tigers will play under his reign. The first was the 2019 King’s Cup in Buriram, Thailand held last month, where the team finished third to Curacao and Vietnam.

This will be the second edition of the Hero Intercontinental Cup and will see Sunil Chhetri and Co. fight it out against Tajikistan, Syria and DPR Korea, in an effort to defend their title. In a round-robin format, every team will play each other with the top two on the table advancing to the final, which is scheduled to be played on July 19.

Fans will be hoping for a positive campaign from Stimac’s men as the FIFA World Cup 2022 qualifiers scheduled for September 2019 draws closer.
