This was one of the bad matches for us: Jamshedpur FC's Steven Dias
Dias shared his thoughts on the game after his side endured a heavy defeat to Chennaiyin FC.
Jamshedpur FC assistant coach Steven Dias labelled it a bad day for his side as they went down 5-1 to Chennaiyin FC at the JRD Tata Sports Complex on Monday.
The Men of Steel have now suffered two consecutive matches in which they conceded five goals, following a 5-0 loss to NorthEast United in their previous outing.
Just six minutes into the match, a defensive blunder allowed Chennaiyin FC to score first, courtesy of an own goal by Pratik Chaudhari. What followed was a flurry of goals for Chennaiyin FC in the 22nd, 24th, 54th, and 71st minutes, scored by Irfan Yadwad, Connor Shields, Wilmar Jordan Gil, and Lukas Pivetta Brambilla, respectively.
The only reprieve for Jamshedpur FC came in the form of a penalty in the 81st minute, with Javi Hernández converting it into a goal.
During the post-match conference, Jamshedpur FC assistant coach Dias highlighted the team's bad day and their goal to come back stronger, “I think this was one of the bad matches for us.”

“I don't think my players are lacking anything. If you see the positive side, they(the players) were together, for the last 15 minutes they were attacking together and defending together. I think every team goes through this (phase) and it is important for us right now to bounce back stronger. We will go back, rectify our mistakes, and come back stronger,” he added.
Following two consecutive defeats, the Men of Steel are set to use the upcoming break to regroup. With no match next week, they’ll aim to get back to winning ways against Mohun Bagan Super Giant on November 23, after the international break.
