Hyderabad FC head coach Manuel Marquez criticised his side’s first-half performances that left the team in danger of losing the match against Jamshedpur FC in the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) on Thursday.

Bartholomew Ogbeche equalised for Hyderabad FC in the second half as they took a point from the game after a much-improved second-half display.

The draw means Hyderabad FC remain outside the top four but are just two points behind the leaders Mumbai City FC.

Marquez addressed the media after the match. Here are the excerpts from his post-match press conference.

Hyderabad FC used their wingers well today but do you feel that Edu Garcia's absence meant there was a lack of creativity in central midfield?

No. We can't say anything about any player because this is a competition that you play every 4-5 days. So there is always a possibility of injured players. Edu Garcia is a great player but for us Halicharan Narzary is a great player too. Sahil Tavora and every player who is injured is very important for us. Now let's see about Yasir. This is a normal situation in any season and more so in Hero ISL that when you play consecutive games every three, four, five days, you can say everyday that there are injuries practically every day.

You talked about rotating the team. Will we see Javier Siverio starting any time soon?

Yes, he deserves to play more minutes but he is very young and he will have to wait for his moment. For sure that he will score goals because he has scored goals all his life and for sure that he will play soon.

We've seen varying results with all teams. Do you think the league is very open and that any team can beat anyone on a given day?

Yes, I have said this in every press conference and every interview. I am angry with the first half today. Of course all the credit goes to Jamshedpur FC. But since I have been the coach of Hyderabad FC, the first half were the worst 45 minutes of my tenure. The team wasn't a disaster but was very bad. Only 1-0 was a fair score and we had time to recover in the second half. In the second half we were more like us. We attacked more, we attacked through the wings and finally we could equalise the game and for me it was a tale of two halves.
