Kerala Blasters FC suffered their second successive defeat in the 2015 Hero Indian Super League on Sunday evening when they lost 1-0 to Delhi Dynamos FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi and head coach Peter Taylor was a disappointed man.“I thought in the end we could make it a draw. [Florent] Malouda’s cross was brilliant for Delhi. Disappointed, but a long way to go,” Taylor told reporters after the match.Kerala Blasters made several chances in the match but failed to convert them, leaving the English coach to rue the lack of finishing abilities.“There were enough opportunities for us, but not enough quality to take them. We could have created a lot more chances, but didn’t have the quality to finish them. It was a tough one for our goal-scorers,” Taylor said.It was Malouda’s cross in the 87th minute that met the head of Richard Gadze. Taylor said his team had a plan for Malouda which kept the Frenchman in check for most part of the game. “Yes we did have a plan. From the start. We had [Carlos] Marchena have him in the hold. To me, it worked. But eventually, pointing fingers is easier than getting the job done. Malouda has played at top places. He is a good player, so it’s not very easy to stop him.”A 62,013-strong crowed witnessed the game and local boy CK Vineeth, who accompanied Taylor to the press conference, was disappointed to have let the home supporters down. “It is a very happy feeling whenever I get to play in front of my home crowd. But after today’s result what I’m feeling now can’t be expressed. Disappointed that I couldn’t do anything for them. As for my shot [soon after the Gadze strike], I needed to put more accuracy into it,” Vineeth said.
