And, they got just that as the Blue Tigers went eyeball to eyeball with the People’s Republic of China, pulling off a commendable goalless draw powered by breathtaking performances throughout the team. Honorable Minister of Sports, Rajyavardhan Rathore, Director of the Indian football team, Abhishek Yadav and All India Football Federation President (AIFF), Praful Patel were among the first ones to show appreciation for the honorable work put in by the men in blue.

In our first friendly encounter with China in 21 yrs, @IndianFootball holds the fort with a great draw at 0-0! A very hopeful result right before #AFCAsianCup, especially when China is 21 ranks ahead of us!
Great work, #BlueTigers! #CHNvIND
Well done @GurpreetGK and @IndianFootball for the great efforts.#CHNvIND #BackTheBlue #WeAreIndia #India #football https:/t.co/ekLWEgXyZy

Man of the moment Gurpreet Singh Sandhu produced a performance of a lifetime, but the humble custodian appreciated that the result was courtesy of a team effort rather than individual brilliance.
Amazing team performance tonight away from home in China, very happy to keep a clean sheet thanks to my fellow teammates who played their heart out! #TogetherWeCan pic.twitter.com/WaxzOfgThF

Passionate Indian supporters too lent in with their views, and could not help but laud a performance worthy of the highest praise. Bengaluru FC, on the other hand, reserved special mention to the ‘plucky’ nature of Blue Tigers’ performance.
FULL TIME and @IndianFootball come away with a 0-0 draw against China, away from home. It took a little both of both - pluck and luck and India even had a couple of good chances against Marcelo Lippi's side. #CHNvIND
