Seityasen Singh returns to NorthEast

NorthEast United FC have announced the signing of winger Seityasen Singh for the upcoming Hero Indian Super League season. The 26-year-old, who spent last season with Delhi Dynamos, rejoins the club after an initial two-year spell during the 2015 and 2016 campaigns.

Singh made his professional debut with former Hero I-League side Royal Wahingdoh, where he soon emerged as one of the standout performers of the team. His fine displays were noticed by NorthEast, who acquired his services for the 2015 season. The winger impressed in his debut season in the Hero ISL, making a total of six appearances and registering a goal in the process. Singh continued his fine form for the 2016 season with NorthEast, finding the back of the net on two occasions over the course of nine games. His pace and trickery down the flanks proved to be his greatest weapon and Delhi Dynamos soon came calling for his signature. Singh appeared 11 times for Delhi during the 2017-18 campaign, where he notched up one goal and three assists.

After a disappointing campaign last time out, NorthEast will be looking to make amends when the new season gets underway. The Highlanders have completed a host of signings during the summer transfer window, most notably - Kivi Zhimomi, Nikhil Kadam and Redeem Tlang. Having retained the likes of Rowllin Borges and TP Rehenesh, the team looks all set to reach unprecedented heights during the 2018-19 season.
