Lenny Rodrigues felt devastated after FC Pune City’s 0-1 loss to Delhi Dynamos FC at the Shree Shiv Chattrapati Sports Complex in Pune. The loss means that Pune are now reliant on Chennaiyin FC to beat or hold Delhi in the last round game. Pune will also need to win their last game away to Kerala Blasters FC to make the cut.“It was a disappointing match but hopefully, the other results from the remaining games will give us a chance,” said an optimistic Rodrigues as his team remain uncertain of qualification even with a victory in Kochi on December 9.Pune conceded a late goal to Gustavo dos Santos who took the ball past a couple of Pune defenders before wonderfully finishing from an acute angle. “It was crucial for us to win the match and we tried hard to gain all the three points. We will go all out and try and win the next game,” the 27-year-old international midfielder told indiansuperleague.com.Rodrigues however will not be able to take part in Pune’s next encounter as he picked up his fourth yellow card of the tournament today and will be suspended as a result. However, the lanky Goan players is resigned to his fate. “The team has a replacement for me. I can’t say anything else because yellow cards and red cards are a part of the game,” he opined.
