Mumbai City FC co-owner Ranbir Kapoor was delighted after his team emerged victorious over Delhi Dynamos FC at the DY Patil Stadium tonight.Dressed in his Mumbai City jersey, the jubilant Bollywood heartthrob told www.indiansuperleague.com after the match, “I am elated and extremely excited. I don’t want to count my chickens before they hatch. It’s right in the middle of the tournament and we have lots to do. I think it’s anyone’s game right now, I’m really happy that we have this win today which has taken us to third on the table. We’re looking forward to the match in Goa; that’s next on the radar. The boys have worked extremely hard, all we can do as fans is cheer the team and give them all the love we can and hope that we can sustain this.”Ranbir also believes that winning a game is more important that scoring more goals and that winning a football match is more important than his movie becoming a super hit. “A win’s a win; it may be 1-0, 5-0 or 6-0. Despite me being an actor, I prefer winning a football match than a movie becoming a super hit. Never mind the score-line, as long as we win, as long as we have the support of the fans and the love of the city, I think that’s what really matters,” he emphasised. Ranbir also made it clear what his expectations of the team are after it climbed to third in the Hero Indian Super League standings: “I think third is nothing. It’s either first or nothing. That’s what our target should be!”
