Mumbai City FC will try to solidify their place in the top half of the 2016 Hero Indian Super League as they take on a stuttering FC Goa side at the Mumbai Football Arena on Friday. The hosts, currently second in the standings with eight points from five matches, have seen a dip in form of late getting just two points from their last three matches - draws against Atlético de Kolkata (1-1) and Delhi Dynamos FC (3-3) and defeat against Kerala Blasters FC (1-0). In Delhi, they squandered a two-goal lead twice in the match and had to content themselves with one point. Meanwhile, last year’s finalists Goa have had a torrid run of results with just a solitary point against Kolkata (1-1) in their last match to show for their efforts in their four encounters so far.Head-to-head: Both teams have played each other four times with two matches yielding results and two yielding draws. In Hero ISL 2014, both games finished goalless. Mumbai, however, drew first blood in 2015 with a 2-0 victory at home. Goa avenged themselves in style in their own den later with a 7-0 thumping of the Mumbaikars in what still is the biggest victory margin of the Hero ISL to date.Form Guide:Mumbai City FC: W-W-D-L-DFC Goa: L-L-L-DPronay Halder vs JoffrePronay Halder has been a rock like presence in the heart of the Mumbai midfield. A defensive screen, Halder has foiled many an opposition attack in Hero ISL 2016. His interception skills, high passing rate and aerial ability have been valuable to the Mumbai team so far. If he could just be more cautious in his approach and cut down on the cards, he could be lethal. The elegant Spanish playmaker has been quiet so far by his own standards. He did score against ATK from the spot but if FC Goa hope to register their first win of the season, Joffre needs to do more. His huge Hero ISL experience will be key against Mumbai City FC on Friday.Sony Norde vs Rafael DumasThe Haitian showed what he is capable of against Delhi Dynamos FC. Blistering runs down the left flank, cutting into the box, shots in and out of the penalty area and lethal free-kicks, he has them all in his repertoire. Norde can be the deciding factor in any game and he would like to finish the job this time, a draw wouldn’t satisfy him.Rafael Dumas has been one of the few positive aspects of Goa’s campaign this season. Having played every game for the Gaurs this year, the Brazilian has mostly kept things tidy at the back with crucial interceptions. He also has the knack of going forward and helping out the attack at times, something which may come in handy.Krisztian Vadocz vs Robin SinghVadocz has started and played every minute of Mumbai City FC’s Hero ISL 2016 campaign. He repaid the coach’s faith in him with two goals in the thrilling encounter against Delhi. His runs into the box and follow-ups are a cause of concern for the opposition, and he will look to go from strength to strength tomorrow.Robin Singh was sidelined due to injury and was unavailable for the Gaurs until the game against Kolkata. Although he didn’t have much to show for apart from a lone shot on goal, his quality can come through at a time when the team needs him the most. A goal from him may just prove to be the catalyst the Gaurs need presently.Squads:Mumbai City FC: Roberto Volpato Neto, Albino Gomes, Gerson Vieira, Lucian Goian, Facundo Cardozo, Anwar Ali, Aiborlang Khongjee, Lalhmangaihsanga Ralte, Lalchhuanmawia Fanai, Munmun Timothy Lugun, Ashutosh Mehta, Krisztian Vadocz, Leo Costa, Jackichand Singh, Pronay Halder, Sehnaj Singh, Boithang Haokip, David Lalrinmuana, Rakesh Oram, Matias Defederico, Otacilio Brito Alves, Sony Norde, Diego Forlan, Gaston Sangoy, Arnab Das SarmaFC Goa: Laxmikanth Kattimani, Subhasish Roy Chowdhury, Sukhdev Patil, Lucio, Debabrata Roy, Denzil Franco, Fulganco Cardozo, Gregory Arnolin, Keenan Almeida, Luciano Sobrosa, Rafael Dumas, Raju Gaikwad, Sanjay Balmuchu, Joffre, Mandar Rao Dessai, Pratesh Shirodkar, Richarlyson, Romeo Fernandes, Sahil Tavora, Trindade Goncalves, Julio Cesar, Rafael Coelho, Reinaldo, Robin Singh
