Kerala Blasters FC got off to a good start in the 2015 Hero Indian Super League [ISL] with a win and a draw in their first two matches but then a couple of defeats – against Atlético de Kolkata and Delhi Dynamos FC – saw them go off the rails. Assistant coach Trevor Morgan, speaking to the media ahead of their game against FC Goa at Fatorda’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Thursday, however, made it clear that there was no time to dwell on their defeats due to a pacey schedule and that they were looking ahead.“When we played in Kolkata, for the last 15 minutes, we deserved to get something out of the game. But probably over the first 75 minutes, we didn’t deserve to get anything out of the game. I thought we were poor the other night [vs Delhi Dynamos]. I think the players know that they didn’t perform. The best thing about this competition is that you don’t get time to dwell on anything. The next game comes around quickly, you have to forget about what happened the last time and this is an opportunity for us to get back to winning,” Morgan said. When reminded of the team’s slow start, Morgan said: “Last year after five games we had four points, and we have four points at the moment, so we’re in front of where we were last year. Our aim is to get into the top-4. That’s got to be the aim. I think all the clubs will be wanting to do the same.“We know we’ve started the season well but we have not been consistent in our last two performances, but like I’ve said before, I’ll just say this, the games come around so quickly, you don’t have time to think. What’s gone is gone. We have to look forward, and tomorrow’s game is the ideal opportunity for us to get back on the winning track.”FC Goa too have had their share of lows, losing 4-0 to Chennaiyin FC was the biggest but then they returned to winning ways in their last game against NorthEast United. When asked whether Goa’s home defeat against Chennai had encouragement value for his team, Morgan said: “I hope so! But then again they won their last away game. So they’re coming on the back of a win, we’re coming on the back of a loss. In the league, anybody can beat anybody, on any given day. It’s quite even at the moment.”
