NorthEast United FC’s Parthib Gogoi wins Emerging Player of the Month for October 2024
With the majority of experts casting their vote in his favour, Gogoi has been honoured as the Emerging Player of the Month for October.
NorthEast United FC’s forward, Parthib Gogoi, has earned the Emerging Player of the Month award for October 2024. The 21-year-old demonstrated remarkable progress for the Highlanders, playing a key role in their resounding victory over Jamshedpur FC.
Gogoi appeared in all three of NorthEast United FC’s October fixtures, initially coming off the bench in their 3-3 draw with FC Goa before starting in the following two matches. The young winger contributed an assist in the close 3-2 loss to Chennaiyin FC and then delivered a standout performance, scoring twice in their dominant 5-0 win against Jamshedpur FC, securing the team’s second win of the season.
A majority of the fifteen experts on the panel voted for Gogoi as the standout player for October, with five ranking him first, two placing him second, and three selecting him as their third choice. Gogoi clinched the award over Jamshedpur FC’s Mohammed Sanan and Kerala Blasters FC’s Vibin Mohanan, who finished in second and third place, respectively.
Two panellists picked Sanan as their top choice, while four ranked him second and two placed him third. Mohanan received one top-choice vote, four second-place votes, and one third-place vote.
