Kerala Blasters FC could not find a way past a stubborn Mumbai City FC backline but did not concede any goals themselves in Match 29 of the Hero Indian Super League (ISL). The 0-0 draw in Kochi takes the Blasters to sixth position with nine points to their name.Despite it being a goalless affair, some chose to look at the positives. They are yet to concede a goal at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi. “It’s really fantastic. We’ve been playing in a jam packed stadium, so it’s really been fantastic,” said Milagres when asked to comment on the incredible fan support.Gonsalves played the full 90 minutes but was not able to find a way through for the Blasters in spite of getting into good positions of a couple of occasions. “I think it was okay, I still need to improve some more but otherwise I had a good game,” said Kerala’s No. 88 regarding his own performance. He also revealed the extent of the impact the international players are having on the local players. “It’s been good. The Indian players are really improving and learning from the international players. That’s how football is, you have to learn.”When asked about the competition between the Indian strikers across the ISL he said, “Most of the Indian strikers are scoring goals, so that’s a good feeling.” Gonsalves has found the net once thus far and impressively assisted Iain Hume on another occasion. “I will look to improve myself by scoring goals in the ISL and keep on giving assists to other players,” the former I-League winner promised as he headed back to join his teammates.After a series of home games, Gonsalves and Kerala Blasters next travel all the way to the north where they face off against Delhi Dynamos FC on Sunday, 16 November.
