FC Pune City assistant coach Miguel was a happy man after the Stallions registered their first home point of the 2016 Hero Indian Super League against Kerala Blasters FC at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex Stadium in Balewadi on Monday evening. This was their third home game of the season having lost to Mumbai City FC and NorthEast United FC previously, and when Cedric Hengbart put the Blasters ahead early on it looked like there won't be any change in the hosts' fortunes. However, marquee player Mohamed Sissoko's defected shot in the 68th minute came to the Stallions' rescue, earning them one point from the match. In the post-match press conference, Miguel said: “We are on the way to improving. At least today we didn't lose, we drew. I think we played much better and we deserved to win. We will improve and we will work harder for our next game.”“We are very happy with the performance. We think the players fought hard, showed lots of commitment and tried to win the game.”Miguel also provided an update on the injury of Spanish midfielder Pitu, who picked up a knock in the pre-match warm-up. “He got injured during the warm-up. Tomorrow, he will go for an MRI scan so we will know tomorrow [as to what is the situation]. But we made a straight change with Bruno (Arias), so we didn't have to change the formation or tactics at all.”With four points from as many matches, Pune City now host defending champions Chennaiyin FC on October 23.
