Atlético de Kolkata suffered their second consecutive defeat in the 2015 Hero Indian Super League (ISL) on Friday losing to NorthEast United FC in Guwahati but team sports director Alberto Marrero insisted they weren’t in a spot of bother on account of the defeats. After losing to FC Pune City in the last match, the defending champions went down 1-0 at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium on Friday and Marrero, speaking to the media after the match, said: “No, we're not in a spot of bother. But could've won 0-2, 0-3 or 0-4 easily. But we lost and it's football. One day you win, one day you lose. That's football.”When asked if they missed the services of Arata Izumi who didn’t feature in the match on account of injury, the ATK sports director said: “I think our team played well as a whole, apart from that I don't have to say anything about my team.”ATK missed quite a few chances in the match, most notably by Javi Lara in the second half, and Marrero admitted his players had a bad day at the office. “It was not just that one chance, we missed a lot of chances. But the match is over now and there no use lamenting those chances.”ATK have conceded in all of their matches so far but Marrero wasn’t unduly worried. “I don't have anything to say about that. The team played well and as I said before one day you win, one day you lose. We played well, so did NEUFC, they're a good team and it was a difficult game,” he said.ATK now host Delhi Dynamos FC on Thursday at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata.
