Hyderabad FC and Mumbai City FC shared the points following a goalless draw in Match 60 of Hero Indian Super League (Hero ISL) 2020-21 at the GMC Stadium in Bambolim on Saturday. Hyderabad FC looked the better team in attack but couldn’t find the back of the net.

At the post-match press conference, Hyderabad head coach Manuel Marquez though was content with the result against a very good Mumbai City FC side presently leading the points table. “I am very satisfied with the team. I know that we had clearer chances in the game but I think that the score was fair because they have a very good team.

“Even though the score was 0-0, it was an interesting game. Our chances were clearer than those of Mumbai City but the game was more or less equal. For us, the most important thing is that our supporters are proud of the players,” Marquez said.

Meanwhile, Mumbai City head coach Sergio Lobera was disappointed with his team’s performance but felt that the result was a fair one. “Hyderabad played well. We didn't play like we did in the other games. I think that a draw is a fair result. Obviously, we want to win. I am not happy because we always want to win the three points but after watching the game, I think this is a fair result,” Lobera said.

“We want to fight for the three points till the very end so obviously we are not happy with just one point. We tried to fight till the end. We are a team which has a big balance between attack and defence. We created a lot of chances and this is very important in football,” he added.

Hugo Boumous was rested for this match and the Islanders seemed to lack a bit of their usual cutting edge in the attacking third. However, Lobera did not want to use his star midfielder’s absence as an excuse for the goalless draw. “I have a very good squad and it will not be right to say that we lost two points because one player could not play. This is not an excuse,” he said.
