Atlético de Kolkata put four past FC Goa in their 2015 Hero Indian Super League encounter at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata on Sunday evening. The defending champions put on a clinical display in front of 51,047 spectators. A Sameehg Doutie brace and goals from Borja Fernandez and Iain Hume were enough to see Kolkata claim top spot in the Hero ISL table. The visitors started brighter of the two sides and had their first shot on target inside the first minute through Dudu. Leo Moura could have given them the lead four minutes later but dragged his effort wide of goal as the Gaurs piled on the pressure early on.Dudu was one-on-one with the keeper not long after as he pounced on a lapse pass at the back. The Nigerian was only denied by a brilliant Amrinder Singh save. It took 14 minutes for Atlético de Kolkata to have their first crack at goal with dangerman Iain Hume just putting a left-footed effort wide of goal. The home-side slowly grew into the game and broke the deadlock six minutes later through Doutie. Jaime Gavilan found Doutie free on the left with an inch-perfect pass as the Southern African youngster drilled it beyond a helpless Laxmikant Kattimani in goal to make it 1-0 for the hosts. It was 2-0 for the reigning champions two minutes later. This time Doutie laid it off for skipper Borja who unleashed an absolute pile-driver of a shot from the edge of FC Goa’s penalty area to give his side a two-goal advantage.Kolkata were firmly in control of the game by this point and had plenty of opportunities to extend their lead before half-time. The Goan defence though shored up things at the back and made sure they didn’t concede any more goals before the half-time interval. The second half took some time to get going with Mohammed Rafique getting away the first shot of the half in the 58th minute. Goa’s first attempt on goal came courtesy of substitute Reinaldo who saw his shot fail to call keeper Amrinder into action. Reinaldo did test Amrinder a minute later after a Dudu lay-off but the ATK keeper was positioned perfectly in goal to save comfortably.Kolkata killed of the contest in the 68th minute through their top-scorer Hume. Doutie once again did brilliantly to weave his way past the Goan defence before being chopped down by a rash Raju Gaikwad tackle inside the penalty box. The referee awarded a penalty which Hume slotted past Kattimani to give his side a 3-0 lead.It was to get worse for FC Goa 12 minutes from time with Doutie scoring his second of the night. A picture perfect pass from Ofentse Nato found Doutie whose first touch helped him go round Kattimani in goal to make it 4-0.Kolkata ran down the clock for the remainder of the match and retained possession well against a tired FC Goa side as the referee blew the full-time whistle. The win helped propel Atlético de Kolkata to the top of the league. It was also their first clean sheet of the season. FC Goa, on the other hand, moved one place down to second in the table.MATCH AWARDSClub Award – Atlético de KolkataSwift Moment of the Match – Borja Fernandez [Atlético de Kolkata] (Watch here)Amul Fittest Player of the Match – Iain Hume [Atlético de Kolkata] (Watch here)ISL Emerging Player of the Match – Mohammed Rafique [Atlético de Kolkata]Hero of the Match – Sameehg Doutie [Atlético de Kolkata] (Watch here)
