The Indian Super League (ISL) clash between Mohun Bagan Super Giant and East Bengal FC has undergone a scheduling change, now set for 8.30 pm on Sunday, 10th March.

This alteration in timing was confirmed by East Bengal FC on Tuesday, shifting the Kolkata Derby from its initial 7.30 pm slot.

Throughout the season, East Bengal FC and Mohun Bagan SG have faced each other four times - twice in the Durand Cup, once in the Kalinga Super Cup, and once in the ISL.

While East Bengal FC emerged victorious in the Durand Cup group stages, they faced defeat against Mohun Bagan SG in the tournament's final. In the Kalinga Super Cup, East Bengal FC triumphed over MBSG in the group stage, ultimately securing the championship after 12 years.

Their inaugural encounter in the ISL occurred in February, resulting in a thrilling 2-2 draw. Mohun Bagan SG cancelled out East Bengal FC's lead twice in the game and salvaged a draw after a late equaliser from Dimitri Petratos.

In the current league standings, Mohun Bagan SG, led by coach Antonio Habas, hold the third position with 33 points from 16 matches, trailing leaders Odisha FC by two points. On the other hand, East Bengal FC occupy the ninth spot, having garnered 18 points from 17 games.

The upcoming match promises to be a crucial face-off given the contrasting positions between these two Kolkata sides.
