The Men of Steel were dominant from the outset, consistently creating chances and putting pressure on the Punjab FC defence. Their dangerous crosses and long throw-in routines tested the visitors throughout the first half, and in stoppage time, they were finally rewarded when Javier Siverio finished off a well-executed throw-in to give Jamshedpur FC the lead.

Punjab FC responded swiftly after the break, with Ezequiel Vidal finding the equaliser just 50 seconds into the second half. But as the match appeared to be heading for a draw, Siverio rose to the occasion once again, scoring a clinical header to seal the win for his side.
“The most important thing is that we got three points. Everybody worked very hard (to get this result),” Jamil said during the post-match press conference.
“Their presence of mind, they know how to deal with the situation during the game, defending and attacking, that is the most important thing,” he added.

Substitute Nikhil Barla, who replaced Mohammed Sanan in the 82nd minute, played a pivotal role in the winner. Within moments of his arrival, Barla delivered a perfectly measured cross to Siverio at the far post, and the Spaniard made no mistake, netting his second goal of the night.
On the impact of Barla, Jamil said, “Nikhil (Barla) is a very good player. He has patience, and when he got the chance, he capitalised. He got this opportunity; it is very important for him.”
With the victory, Jamshedpur FC moved up to sixth place in the points table, boasting 18 points from ten games. Thanks to their unwavering home support, the Men of Steel secured their fifth home win of the season, having won five out of the six matches played at the Furnace.
“I want to say that keep supporting Jamshedpur FC because, without your support, we cannot do anything,” he commented.
