Kerala Blasters FC travel to Kolkata to face East Bengal FC for their 16th match of the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) 2022-23 season. The Blasters would be looking to secure another victory in the bag and protect their third place in Hero ISL points table while Stephen Constantine's men would be looking for their fifth victory of the season.

Ivan Vukomanovic's side are on the cusp of making history, the Blasters have nine wins from 15 matches equaling their record of most wins in a league stage from the 2021-22 season. Kerala Blasters FC are now one win away from equaling their record of most wins in a single Hero ISL season of 10 wins from the 2021-2022 season.

The last time Vukomanovic's side won nine matches in the league stage, they went on to reach the final of the Hero ISL.

Out of their nine wins, five of them came on the trot this season, which is their longest winning streak in the Hero ISL. In the 2021-22 season, it took Kerala Blasters FC 23 games to win 10 matches, they already have nine wins from 15 matches this season.

This is the second time that the Blasters have registered more than eight wins in a single Hero ISL season. Vukomanovic would be looking to secure the victory against a struggling East Bengal FC, who have lost four consecutive matches and sit 10 points behind the playoffs spot.
