NorthEast United FC vs Mohammedan SC, Thursday, April 24, 4:30 PM IST
NorthEast United FC will face Mohammedan SC at the Kalinga Stadium in an early kick-off on Thursday.
This clash marks the third-ever meeting between the two teams. Mohammedan SC played their inaugural ISL 2024–25 match against NorthEast United FC, with the latter securing a 1-0 victory in second-half stoppage time, courtesy of Alaaeddine Ajaraie’s decisive goal. The reverse fixture in Guwahati ended in a goalless draw.
Juan Pedro Benali’s men will be eager to kick off their Kalinga Super Cup campaign with a win and carry forward their cup form, having last tasted silverware in the Durand Cup. After a disappointing exit from the ISL Playoffs, the Highlanders will be keen to make a strong statement.
Mohammedan SC, on the other hand, finished bottom of the ISL table this season. Despite picking up some crucial points in patches, the Black and White Brigade lacked consistency — something they'll look to address under Mehrajuddin Wadoo in the Kalinga Super Cup. With an eye on salvaging their season and building momentum for the next, they'll be hoping for a fresh start in Bhubaneswar.
Jamshedpur FC vs Hyderabad FC, Thursday, April 24, 8:00 PM IST
Jamshedpur FC will kick off their Kalinga Super Cup campaign against Hyderabad FC. The Men of Steel, who narrowly missed out on an ISL Cup final berth after a heartbreaking loss to Mohun Bagan Super Giant, will be determined to clinch silverware and end their season on a high.
Under Khalid Jamil’s guidance, Jamshedpur FC showcased their resilience in the 2024–25 ISL season, reaching the playoffs after a two-year absence. They wrapped up the league with 38 points, including 12 wins. Jamil’s side also impressed at the Furnace, notching the third-highest points tally on home soil.
Hyderabad FC, on the other hand, endured a turbulent campaign, with head coach Thangboi Singto departing midseason. Despite their struggles, the Yellow and Black showed flashes of promise in the closing stages of the season — momentum they’ll look to carry into the Kalinga Super Cup as they aim to spring a few surprises.
Both matches will be streamed live on JioHotstar.
