Jan Šeda kept his second clean sheet of the tournament as FC Goa managed to take a point from their fixture at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. The Czech goalkeeper has made 20 saves in his eight appearances for the club. He made a number of good stops against Mumbai City FC on the night, the most significant being his save of Lalrindika Ralte’s effort.“It was really difficult for us, I think both teams had good chances to score. This is football, but we must try and score the goals and take the three points,” Šeda told indiansuperleague.com in an exclusive post-match interview. When asked about what was going on in his mind as Nicolas Anelka approached his goal in the first half with an intent of chipping the keeper, he said, “I waited for Grégory (Arnolin) to pass back to me, the pass was really short so I had to stay on my line and I’m big. But we were really lucky when he missed the target.”Šeda has played for the premier Czech first league side FK Mladá Boleslav for almost his entire senior career. The only time he ventured out of the country was a loan move to Dutch side RKC Waalwijk.Seda's top level European experience has come in handy and he has done a really good job of organising the Goan defence. Asked if this was what they had been focusing on in training, he replied, “Yeah, of course! We are doing a lot of this training and the defenders did really well today.”
