ISL 2024-25 fixtures: Mumbai City FC
The Islanders will take on the Mariners in the opening fixture of the ISL 2024-25 season, in a rematch of last season's final.
Defending Indian Super League (ISL) Cup winners Mumbai City FC are all set to kick off their 2024-25 season with a mouth-watering fixture against Mohun Bagan Super Giant in Kolkata.
The Islanders demonstrated stellar performances throughout the last season and have been one of the most formidable teams with their offensive versatility and defensive stability. Despite finishing second to the Mariners in the League Stage standings, Petr Kratky's men emerged victorious in the ISL Cup final to conclude the season on a positive note.
Mumbai City FC have gone through several changes in their squad, especially in their foreigners' department. High-profile players like Jon Toral and Nikolaos Karelis joined the team during the summer transfer window, while dynamic winger Lallianzuala Chhangte penned a multi-year extension with the club.
Petr Kratky's men will play their first home match against Bengaluru FC during October in their third fixture. They will be seen twice in action in the opening month, while Mumbai City FC will have three games in October and four in November and December. However, October could pose strong challenges for the Islanders when they take on Bengaluru FC, FC Goa, and Odisha FC in three crucial consecutive matches.
