ISL 2023-24: Team of Matchweek 3
Matchweek three of the Indian Super League 2023-24 season was intense. Each game was highly competitive and it took some special moments to get positive results. Only one draw was recorded out of the six games and there was only one game in which the winning team got a clean sheet. Jamshedpur FC's 1-0 win against Hyderabad FC was the only match which ended with a clean sheet in this matchweek.

TP Rehenesh (Jamshedpur FC)
Rehenesh TP had an impressive outing in the match against Hyderabad FC. He made some vital saves throughout the match to make sure that Jamshedpur FC stay in the game. His contribution was the main reason that Jamshedpur FC ended the game with a clean sheet.
Defenders
Mourtada Fall (Odisha FC)
The Senegalese defender put forward a stellar display to keep his side Odisha FC in the game against FC Goa. The timing of his blocks and tackles was close to perfection and his interceptions were top class too. He scored two goals to make sure that Odisha FC win the game, however it was not enough as FC Goa won the game in stoppage time.
Laldinpuia (Jamshedpur FC)
The Mizo defender put in a stellar performance in the match against Hyderabad FC. He combined well with the other Jamshedpur FC defenders to make sure that his team get a clean sheet from the game. His timely tackles were of great help to the Red Miners.
Jay Gupta (FC Goa)
The young FC Goa fullback was the star of the show in the match against Odisha FC. He kept waves of Odisha FC attacks at bay and also got into good positions to attack to help his team win the game. His efforts led to him eventually scoring the winning goal for FC Goa and helping the team get all the three points.
Midfielders
Rei Tachikawa (Jamshedpur FC)
The Japanese midfielder had an outstanding game in the middle of the park for Jamshedpur FC. He constantly troubled the Hyderabad FC defence with well timed runs into the box. He constantly found spaces and created spaces himself to attack. He capped off his fine performance with an incredible free kick goal to get all three points for Jamshedpur FC.
Sahal Abdul Samad (Mohun Bagan Super Giant)
Sahal Abdul Samad was one of the main reasons for the win of Mohun Bagan Super Giant against Chennaiyin FC. He played as a fine playmaker and constantly exploited spaces left behind the Chennaiyin FC defence. He got two assists in the game and was involved in all three goals for the Green and Maroon Brigade.
Javi Hernandez (Bengaluru FC)
The Spanish midfielder put in a brilliant performance against East Bengal FC. He was the main reason for Bengaluru FC's incredible comeback in the game. When East Bengal FC was dominating the game, he was the player who was forcing East Bengal FC back with his incredible movement in the attacking third. He scored a fantastic goal from an overhead kick to complete the comeback win against East Bengal FC and get the three points for his team.
Noah Sadaoui (FC Goa)
The Moroccan forward put in an incredible performance against Odisha FC. He was the player keeping FC Goa in the game when his team were trailing in the match. His constant runs on the left wing and his pace were causing a lot of problems for the Odisha FC defence. He scored two goals in the game to enable FC Goa to go on and win the game.
Forwards
Mahesh Naorem (East Bengal FC)
The East Bengal FC winger was a constant threat throughout the game against Bengaluru FC. He also scored a fine solo goal to give East Bengal FC the lead against the Blues. However, his performance was not enough as his team went on to lose the game against Bengaluru FC.
Dimi Petratos (Mohun Bagan Super Giant)
The Australian forward had an amazing game against Chennaiyin FC. He was constantly threatening the Chennaiyin FC defence with his combination play with the rest of the Mohun Bagan Super Giant forwards. He was constantly getting himself into scoring positions throughout the game and even scored a goal to help his team get the three points.
Parthib Gogoi (NorthEast United FC)
Parthib Gogoi continued his fine form in the match against Punjab FC. He scored for the third game in a row from the start of the ISL 2023-24 season. He constantly threatened the Punjab FC defence with his darting runs from the edge of the box. He was also combining well with the other NorthEast United FC forwards and even though his team did not win the game, his performance was one that caught the eye of the spectators.
