Jamshedpur FC had to settle for a 1-1 draw against NorthEast United FC at the JRD Tata Sports Complex on Monday after conceding in the final minute of regulation time. Sergio Castel gave the home team the lead in the 28th minute but Panagiotis Triadis equalised for the visitors in the closing stages.

At the post-match press conference, Jamshedpur head coach Antonio Iriondo shared his views on the match and said, “Both teams used all the tools in their possession to win the match. I think we had more ball possession. We could have had a penalty but the referee missed it. We lost two points tonight.”

“In this league all the teams are similar and matches are close. All teams are playing well. There were some decisions that didn’t do it justice. Hopefully by the end of the season, we get some luck with respect to the decisions,” he added.

Jamshedpur’s goal scorer Castel sustained an injury and had to be taken off in the second-half. “It’s bad that he got injured at that stage from that tackle. His ankle is swollen. But we haven’t done a medical evaluation yet but we hope he recovers for the next match. At this point, we don’t want to miss two players like him and Piti. Hope we can get him back soon,” Iriondo said, giving an update on his star man’s condition.
