Indian player and FC Goa star Romeo Fernandes enjoyed a successful debut for Brazilian club Atlético Paranaense as he made a second half appearance in the 5-0 win over Nacional. With his debut in the Campeonato Paranaense, he became the first Indian to play for a club in Brazilian state league.The 22-year-old Romeo, who joined Atlético on loan last year, shot into limelight after scoring the 100th goal of the Hero Indian Super League. His exciting performances for FC Goa is said to have impressed their coach and Brazilian football legend Zico.Romeo, a native of Goa, is a product of Dempo Sports Club and has represented their under-18, under-19 and under-20 teams before making his senior debut for them in 2011. In his 11 appearances in the inaugural edition of ISL, Fernandes scored thrice and provided two assists.
