Hero Indian Super League stars feature heavily in the probables list for India’s last two matches of their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign against Iran and Turkmenistan. The Blue Tigers currently prop up their group having taken three points from their six matches courtesy of a 1-0 win against Guam in which Delhi Dynamos FC’s Robin Singh’s solitary goal proved to be the difference. The Lions’ frontman though does not make the probable squad after a lengthy lay-off due to a knee injury. India’s all-time top-scorer Sunil Chhetri (Mumbai City FC) and Jeje Lalpekhlua (Chennaiyin FC) are likely to lead the forward line in Singh’s absence. Chhetri and Lalpekhlua scored a combined total of 13 goals in Hero ISL 2015 and will be hoping to replicate their fine form in front of goal in Indian colours. Halicharan Narzary, who featured for NorthEast United FC last season, also features in the list.Defenders include Atlético de Kolkata’s trio of Augustine Fernandes, Arnab Mondal and Rino Anto. Aiborlang Khongjee (NorthEast United FC), Pritam Kotal (FC Pune City), Sandesh Jhingan (Kerala Blasters FC), Narayan Das (FC Goa) and Lalchhuanmawia (Mumbai City FC) are the other defenders in the squad.Pronay Halder (FC Goa), Bikash Jairu (FC Pune City), Cavin Lobo (Kerala Blasters FC), Alwyn George (NorthEast United FC), Francis Fernandes (Delhi Dynamos FC), Harmanjot Singh Khabra (Chennaiyin FC), Mohammed Rafique (Atlético de Kolkata) and Seityasen Singh (NorthEast United FC) are the rest of the ISL’s hottest prospects to dominate India head coach Stephen Constantine’s probables team. Constantine’s men take on Iran on March 24 in Tehran and Turkmenistan on March 29 in Kochi. The probables squad:Goalkeepers: Subrata Paul, Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, Karanjit Singh, TP ReheneshDefenders: Aiborlang Khongjee, Augustine Fernandes, Arnab Mondal, Pritam Kotal, Sandesh Jhingan, Rino Anto, Narayan Das, LalchhuanmawiaMidfielders: Pronay Halder, Bikash Jairu, Cavin Lobo, Rowlin Borges, Alwyn George, Md.
