Round 13 of the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) observed historic comebacks, hard-fought draws, and rising hopes for a semi-final finish.

It started with Odisha FC registering a resounding 0-2 victory over NorthEast United FC. In the next match, SC East Bengal broke the curse and won their first match of the 2021-22 season with a 1-2 win against FC Goa in Marco Rivera’s first assignment.

Then, Chennaiyin FC fought their way back to come from behind and salvage three points against NorthEast United FC. The matches played between Bengaluru FC and FC Goa saw Sunil Chhetri return to scoring ways as he netted his first goal of the season to become the joint highest goal scorer in the Hero ISL history.

Meanwhile, in the rescheduled ATK Mohun Bagan vs Odisha FC, the match finished in an exciting goalless draw as the chances galore.

Goalkeeper:

Arshdeep Singh (Odisha FC) - 8.28

In a contest against ATK Mohun Bagan with chances aplenty, Arshdeep exhibited impressive glovesmanship to maintain a clean sheet and fend against 13 shots.

Defenders:

Victor Mongil (Odisha FC) - 7.84

Against the same opposition, Mongil made five crucial clearances and made three blocks in the goalless draw while maintaining a passing accuracy of 80%.

Dylan Fox (FC Goa) - 7.42

The defender got on the scoring list with a leaping header to break the deadlock against Bengaluru FC and put his side in the lead.

Patrick Flottmann (NorthEast United FC) - 7.33

Flottmann provided his first assist of the season to help Laldanmawia Ralte score against Chennaiyin FC. The defender also made seven clearances, and three tackles, all at a passing accuracy of 88%.

Midfielders:

Alberto Noguera (FC Goa) - 9.07

Noguera commanded the Goan midfield with his flair and accuracy as he converted one of his three chances in a goal and made three tackles and interceptions each against SC East Bengal.

Vladimir Koman (Chennaiyin FC) - 8.07

Koman’s strike against NorthEast United FC sealed his side the three points in a brilliant execution of the freekick.

Ariel Borysiuk (Chennaiyin FC) - 7.48

The midfielder’s equaliser brought Chennaiyin FC back in the hunt against NorthEast United.

Liridon Krasniqi (Odisha FC) - 7.38

Krasniqi completed 90% of his passes against ATK Mohun Bagan while creating a chance, four tackles and two blocks.

Forwards :

Naorem Mahesh (SC East Bengal) - 8.73

Naorem fired a brace to help SC East Bengal record their first win in the tournament this season converting both his shots.

Jorge Ortiz (FC Goa) - 8.32

Against SC East Bengal, Ortiz provided the Gaurs with an assist, created four chances and made 11 crosses.

Aridai Suarez (Odisha FC) - 8.21

A goal and an assist against NorthEast United FC earned Aridai the Hero of the Match award.
