Round 12 of the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) witnessed fascinating turnarounds, late-winners, gripping moments, and some tightly contested matches.

The round began with Bengaluru FC clinching their redemption over Mumbai City FC with a 3-0 win. In the next match, Ishan Pandita’s late strike helped Jamshedpur FC secure all three points against SC East Bengal.

Meanwhile, Kerala Blasters FC retained their top spot in the table after a comfortable 2-0 victory over Odisha FC. Chennaiyin FC and Hyderabad FC couldn’t decide a winner amongst themselves as the game ended in a 1-1 draw.

The round was concluded by FC Goa and NorthEast United FC who shared the spoils in another 1-1 draw.

Goalkeeper

Gurpreet Sandu (Bengaluru FC) - 8.31

Sandhu kept his second clean sheet of the season and boasted a 100% save record for his side, saving all four shots he faced on goal.

Defenders

Laldinliana Renthlei (Jamshedpur FC) - 7.63

The defender aced his performance in his side’s 1-0 win as he created three chances, had 95 touches of the ball, and made three crosses. Defensively, Renthlei made two successful tackles, three clearances, and two blocks.

Roshan Naorem (Bengaluru FC) - 8.45

Naorem was instrumental in securing the three points for his team as he provided two assists and created four goalscoring chances. The defender was presented with the Hero of the Match award for his all-round performance, as Bengaluru FC also kept their second clean sheet of the season.

Nishu Kumar (Kerala Blasters FC) - 8.47

The left-back opened the scoring for his team and was phenomenal throughout the 90 minutes as he had a passing accuracy of 89% besides making three clearances, one tackle and interception each.

Midfielders

Harmanjot Khabra (Kerala Blasters FC) - 9.19

The midfielder had an excellent outing as he scored a goal for his side while also creating three goalscoring chances. Taking 70 touches of the ball, Khabra also made three interceptions, three clearances, two tackles, and one block in the defensive zone. Deservedly so, Khabra won the Hero of the Match award for his brilliant performance on the pitch.

Adrian Luna (Kerala Blasters FC) - 8.65

The Blasters’ midfield maestro delivered yet another superb performance on the pitch. Luna was involved in both the goals as the assist provider, and controlled the tempo of the game. He created four goalscoring chances, had 82 touches of the ball, and made three tackles, three blocks, and one interception in the defensive department.

Danish Farooq (Bengaluru FC) - 7.78

The midfielder netted the first goal in the opening minutes of the game against Mumbai City FC. Farooq took four shots out of which two were on target and also helped in ball recoveries with two key interceptions.

Edu Garcia (Hyderabad FC) - 8.86

The midfielder created a staggering nine goal-scoring chances, most by any player in the match. Garcia had two out of three shots on target and bossed the midfield. 

Forwards

Prince Ibara (Bengaluru FC) - 8.96

Ibara was in red hot form as he went on to score a beautiful brace for his side. The forward took three shots and all of them were on target while also creating a goalscoring opportunity.

Greg Stewart (Jamshedpur FC) - 8.23

Stewart exhibited yet another enthralling performance as he provided the assist for the match-winner, his eleventh involvement for a Jamshedpur FC goal in as many matches. His heroics won him the Hero of the Match award, as the forward also created six goalscoring chances along with 82 touches.

Jorge Ortiz (FC Goa) - 8.27

After returning from his suspension, Ortiz added a major boost to his side as he took a total of eleven shots, four of which were on target. Ortiz was awarded the Hero of the Match award for his incredible skills on the pitch.
