FC Pune City head coach Antonio Habas has instructed his players that it's high time they started winning consistently in the 2016 Indian Super League. Ahead of their home against FC Goa at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex Stadium in Balewadi on Thursday, the Stallions find themselves in a tough situation having gathered just six points from as many matches. With their first half of the league stage coming to an end with the game on Thursday, Habas has pressed the panic button and called on his players to stand up and be counted.“We are working with the team. We are building a strong team. We need time but the time is over and we need to start to win as soon as possible,” Habas, whose team is yet to register their first home win of the season, told reporters on Wednesday.“I hope things will change. We need everyone, including the players and me for it to change. The situation, as it stands, is bad. But I think tomorrow is a good opportunity to change that. We will keep working towards that result.”With one away win, two home losses and three draws (two at home), the Stallions are presently seventh in the standings, and they have scored just five goals this season. When asked to explain why they haven't been able to score consistently, the Spaniard said: “The magic word in football is balance, that is balance between attack and defence. Now maybe sometimes we are good in defence but not in attack and sometimes vice versa. Balance is important. You can now see we are getting close to that balance and we need to score more. That's all.”Habas, last year in charge of Atlético de Kolkata, also dismissed a suggestion that his players were having a hard time at home due to the smaller size of the pitch in Balewadi. “The players here are different from ATK's players from last season. It is not about the ground dimension. It's about the team. And that is what I have to focus on,” the Spaniard said.
