FC Pune City’s latest recruit, John Goossens, vowed to get back to winning ways in their next match after his side crashed to a home defeat against a rampant Kerala Blasters FC tonight.Asked by indiansuperleague.com where the home team lost the plot, the left-footed Dutch forward replied, “We were leading 1-0 in the first half and I think five minutes before the break we had a stupid moment from the free kick; they were really good on the counter and they scored the equaliser from the corner. That was a very disappointing moment.”In the second half, the Ajax youth product and former NEC and Feyenoord player said he thought his team played too many long balls, making it hard to get the ball to striker David Trezeguet. “So I think it was just a bad game for us. We have to get back in the next game and we really must win our home games,” Goossens declared.Goossens, who scored twice for the Netherlands as they finished third in the 2005 FIFA under-17 World Championship, refuted the suggestion that too many changes made by coach Franco Colomba affected the result of the game. “When you look at the team, every player is on the same level. So I don’t think that affected the game,” he said.
